We are Mike’s biggest fans!!! My husband and I were starting to panic when looking for a DJ/MC because as many of you can probably relate, we have very high standards and wanted our special day to be absolutely PERFECT. Everyone who attended the wedding absolutely loved Mike and still comments on how incredible he was. I’m going to begin with saying Mike “blew us away” from the moment we started talking to him to the end of our wedding reception. From our first consult, we knew right away he was the real deal. He is on top of everything! I could tell he was organized and took the time to check every detail and stay conscious of timing. We had requests for random, special dances in between for couples in attendance who had COVID-19-affected weddings the year prior and he delivered with no questions asked, creating a special moment for those special guests.
During intros, he said every bridal party member’s first and last names perfectly, which we all know is never an easy thing! When he started singing himself to the music we could see our guests were LOVING it! He is the best MC we have ever seen with a beautiful voice! He has a presence and a way of getting people in that “have fun” / “dancing” mood! Mike Gaeta made our dream wedding a reality. We had no experience planning an event for 240 people, yet we wanted to put in all our favorite activities from weddings we had gone to. To top it off, the hotel was hard to reach and gave us little time to rehearse. Going into the reception, we had no idea if the whole event was going to be awkward and disappointing… Mike made it awesome! The sleek DJ platform with thousands of watts of sound welcomed us into the ballroom with a flourish of “The Price is Right” Theme Song (our choice!)! From that moment on, every event happened on cue.
The perfect background music (all chosen by Mike), sound effects, and Mike’s concert emcee voice really jived with our speaking, our singing and even the little games we played. Where do we even start!? From the moment we confirmed with Mikey Gaeta, we knew things were in great hands and he truly had our best interests at heart. He instantly became our wedding guru! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, he is so supportive during such a high stress time. He helped to navigate through what our vision was for the evening, providing ideas and being there to bounce ideas to. Leading up to the wedding, Mikey checked-in frequently to see how we were doing and to ensure all was set and to ease my crazy mind! Whenever we ended any conversation we always hung up laughing and with a feeling of WOW, this wedding will be EPIC… AND IT WAS!
From his coordinating with other vendors to being so present at each step of the way, he is just simply AMAZING! That evening was the most incredible night of our lives! There was never an empty dance floor and everyone, including the shy ones who you never see dancing, was up on the floor too. Mikey knew just what to play and when to play it. And his singing… AWESOME! We can’t explain how unbelievable our night was all due to Mikey and his expertise. My husband, Rich and I are still getting compliments from friends and family stating that was the best wedding they have ever attended.

Hiring Gaeta Entertainment for our wedding was the best decision we made throughout the whole wedding planning process! He came in our time of need when our previous DJ ended his contract and he was the highlight of our night! Mike kept the night flowing with entertainment and fun! Gaeta Entertainment was referred to Chestnut Hill Realty back in 2014 through an employee I personally worked with. We were in the process of setting up resident events at our property which consists of 415 apartment homes and over 1000 residents. Our goal was to host a pool party which would include pizza, drinks, giveaways, and our hopes a DJ. Working with a budget, we were having trouble finding a DJ. That’s when I personally met DJ Mikey. After our first event, I was sure Gaeta Entertainment was the best DJ for our events. We imagined DJ Mikey playing music. He did so much more than that. He got the residents involved, hosted games, brought giveaways for the younger residents, but more importantly made sure the event ran smoothly. And with DJ Mikey attending everything was perfect!
We are now on our seventh summer working with Gaeta Entertainment and we plan to continue this relationship for years to come. When we host other events, residents ask us if DJ Mikey is attending. This is the impact he has on those that attend any event he DJ’ing. We had the honor of having Mikey MC as the DJ of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Big Climb” Boston charity fundraising event. Participants pledge to climb to the top of the tallest building in Boston, with all money raised going to blood cancer research and treatments.
Charity events like these always have a wide range of emotions throughout the day and Mike performed masterfully during the entire event and ceremony. He was positioned at the finish line on the top floor of the One Beacon Street building in Boston, as participants (consisting of blood cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and supporters) climbed to the top.
Mike was so motivating to participants and had everyone feeding off his energy as they reached the top floor. Between his music, his amazing mic skills, and the words he used to excite and motivate everyone, he truly helped make the event a huge success.
Mike is the exact type of person you want to DJ or MC a charity event. Super high energy when participants need an emotional boost, and truly a master of controlling the mood and energy level of the entire room with his excellent mic skills.
I couldn’t imagine reaching the finish line without having you in control of the music and keeping every feeding off your energy, positivity, and enthusiasm. Thank you again so much for supporting this event and the mission to help create a world without blood cancer!
